Kainaat Foundation Hosts Nutrition Festival in Kandhkot to Promote Local & Nutritious Food

Kainaat Foundation in collaboration with SMBBMU-Larkana and International Rescue Committee (IRC) conducted the Nutrition Festival today, on 20th September 2025, at Al-Hafiz Marriage Hall, Kandhkot under the theme “Foundation of Health — Local and Nutritious Food.” The event brought together government representatives, civil society organizations, students, and community members to raise awareness on healthy dietary practices and combating malnutrition. The festival featured motivational and informative speeches delivered by Dr. Vevik Khetpal, Dr. Iqra Katpar, Dr. Adil Nawaz, Mr. Khalil Samejo, and Dr. Abdul Aziz, highlighting the importance of nutrition in improving health and education outcomes. The Assistant Commissioner, on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner and the District Health Officer (DHO), graced the occasion as the chief guest and appreciated the efforts of the organizers and partners in addressing malnutrition challenges in the district. The program also included a speech competition among students from Bakhtawar Girls High School, interactive stalls showcasing local nutritious food and health services, and recognition awards for participants and partners. The festival concluded with closing remarks, a vote of thanks, and a group photo session, leaving participants motivated to continue promoting nutrition at the community level.
